MORE ABOUT THE SONY XPERIA Z3
The Xperia Z3 is water and dust proof, but with a higher IP rating of IP65 and IP68. The phone features a new brighter display, a Snapdragon 801 processor and the ability to record 4K videos. Sony announced that the device will be able to play PlayStation 4 games via Remote Play. The Xperia Z3 includes support for magnetic charging, except for the Z3v variant which eschews the magnetic charging port for Qi wireless charging. The Sony Xperia Z3 is the first Sony smartphone to use nano SIM; the D6633 variant (also branded as Xperia Z3 Dual) also includes dual SIM support. The Sony Xperia Z3 features a 5.15 inch BRAVIA IPS LCD Triluminos display with a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels (Full HD) with a pixel density of 424 ppi. The Triluminos technology which uses light-emitting nanoparticles, referred to as quantum dots, that emit light in wavelengths that the human eye perceives as colors, allows the display to re-produce a gamut of color 50% larger than conventional LCD technology. It also features Live Color LED technology, where red and green phosphors have been added to the IPS display to widen the colour range without over-saturating.
